HKICF2023 Teachers’ Choir is now open for Application! (Application is Closed)

You often stand in front of the choir to conduct,
deep in your heart, do you crave singing as a chorister?

This year, HKICF is calling all music teachers and conductors to be choristers!

The new initiative of HKICF2023,  “Teachers’ Choir”, is going to let teachers experience the power of choral singing again! Teachers will gain a fresh perspective on how to run their school choirs and understand the needs of their choir members.

We are honoured to have Mr Sanders Lau, one of the adjudicators of HKICF2022 and the artistic director of NOĒMA, to be the conductor of Teachers’ Choir. We also have Ms Susanna Saw, our artistic advisor and an adjudicator of HKICF2023, travelling from Malaysia to be our guest conductor. 

Teachers’ Choir is a short-term project of 3 months, and there will be a performance at the end. No audition is required this year.

Project Period: 9 Nov 2022 – 31 Jan 2023

Rehearsal Schedule: Every Wed 6-8pm ( Except 28/12/2022、18/1/2023 ) (download pdf)

Rehearsal Venue: SAGE Chan Dang Centre for Active Ageing  (Google Map)

Performance Date: 31 Jan 2023 7-9pm

Final Rehearsal Date: 30 Jan 2023 7-9pm

Venue: Auditorium, Sha Tin Town Hall (Google Map)

Fee：HK$500 ( inclusive of rehearsals & scores )
